MetUp is a product that protects methionine by coating it, preventing it from being degraded by microorganisms in the rumen, and releasing it in the most suitable position in the gastrointestinal tract, where it can be absorbed and utilized as a protective amino acid.

The release rate of MetUp in small intestine is up to 95%.
Efficacy
MetUp can provide cows with small intestine-metabolizable amino acids, allowing for the adjustment of the proportion of metabolizable amino acids in the small intestine. This improves the balance of amino acids and enhances feed protein utilization, thereby promoting the utilization of free amino acids by mammary gland tissue. Consequently, it reduces urea nitrogen content in milk and blood while increasing milk protein content and yield.
Additionally, it lowers dietary protein levels and feed costs, ultimately improving cow reproductive performance.
