Features Of Feed Additive

01/

Superior Quality: We prioritize quality in every aspect of our manufacturing process. Our feed additives are produced using the finest ingredients, sourced from trusted suppliers.

02/

Nutritional Excellence: Our feed additives in animal nutrition are formulated to provide balanced nutrition and address specific nutritional requirements of livestock.

03/

Enhanced Performance: Our additives are designed to support and enhance the performance of livestock. They promote efficient digestion, nutrient absorption, and metabolic processes, contributing to improved feed conversion ratios, weight gain, milk production, and overall productivity.

04/

Immune System Support: We understand the importance of a robust immune system in livestock health. Our feed additives are fortified with immune-boosting ingredients, such as probiotics, prebiotics, and antioxidants, which help strengthen the animal's natural defense mechanisms, reducing the risk of diseases and promoting overall well-being.

Types of Feed Additive

Sensory Additives

These stimulate an animals appetite so that they naturally want to eat more.

01

Nutritional Additives

These provide a particular nutrient that may be deficient in an animal’s diet.

02

Zootechnical Additive

These improve the overall nutritional value of an animal’s diet through additives in the feed.

03

Coccidiostats and Histomonostats

These are feed additives which are antibiotics, intended to kill or inhibit protozoa (bacteria/micro-organisms).

04

The Main Points Of The Feed Additive Production Process

Particles

Particles are also called particle size or fineness, which actually refers to the size of the particles. Active ingredients, feed additives, carriers and diluents all require a certain particle size.

Carrier

The active ingredients in feed additives occupy a very small proportion in the complete compound feed, and their particle size is pulverized to a very small size, which only solves the problem of increasing the number of particles.

Bulk weight

Active ingredients with large differences in bulk density are difficult to mix uniformly, and delamination may occur during transportation and storage time. In the production process of additive premix, it is necessary to try to reduce the difference in bulk density between various feed additives, and try to get close to the bulk density of the full-price compound feed.

Static charge

The smaller the particles, the purer the compound, the drier, and the higher the electrostatic charge. Increase the volume, reduce the bulk density, and be in an "active" state. When mixing, these small particles with electrostatic charge will adhere to the metal surface of the mixer and the metal surface of the discharge port due to the action of the opposite sex with other materials.

Encapsulation Methods Of Feed Additive

Spray Drying

The principle of the spray drying technique consists of dissolving a polymer, in the continuous phase (generally water), which surrounds the particles of the active ingredient within sprayed drops. The drying process causes this solution to shrink into a sheath of pure polymer that encloses the core material.

Emulsion

It consists of adding a small volume of the polymer-active ingredient suspension to a large volume of vegetable oil. The mixture is then homogenized to form a water-in-oil emulsion. Once the water-in-oil emulsion is formed, the water-soluble polymer must be insolubilized to form minute gel particles within the oil phase.

Extrusion

The principle of this technique consists in preparing a hydrocolloid solution, adding the probiotic ingredient to the solution and dripping the suspension through a syringe needle or a spray machine with a nozzle in the form of drops that are allowed to fall freely into a solution bath or hardener.

FAQ

Q: What is a feed additive?

A: Feed additives are products used in animal nutrition for purposes of improving the quality of feed and the quality of food from animal origin, or to improve the animals' performance and health, e.g. providing enhanced digestibility of the feed materials.

Q: What is the difference between feed additives and supplements?

A: A feed additive is a single substance added to feed in micro quantities to fulfill a specific function, such as to aid digestion, for weight gain, to stimulate appetite, etc. A feed supplement is a combination of nutrients added to livestock feed to improve the nutrient balance or performance of the total ration.

Q: How do feed additives work?

A: 4.7 Feed Additives
They affect physiological processes, such as immune function, stress resistance, and reproduction. Feed additives include feeding attractants, immunostimulants, prebiotics, probiotics, acidifiers, essential oils, or other inclusions. These additives are usually not required nutrients.

Q: What are the benefits of feed additives?

A: Natural additives in animal feed are able to improve productivity and performance by enhancing digestibility and maintaining and stabilizing beneficial microflora in the gut; improving the quality of animal products can also positively influence the environment (3).

Q: Do feed additives have to be approved by FDA?

A: Food additives must be approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) prior to their use in foods and after approval, they must be used in accordance with a specific food additive regulation. Food additives used in animal food are usually characterized based on their composition and intended use.

Q: How do additives work?

A: Additives work on issues related to the movement of gasoline or the system it flows through. Cleaning agents, for instance, might be mixed with fuel to remove heavy deposits, reducing friction and improving flow. Individual components like injectors and valves need to be free of any buildup to work at their best.

Q: What is the difference between feed supplements and feed additives?

A: Mineral supplements for dairy cattle are mixtures of vitamins and minerals. These dairy cattle feed supplements are typically fed to animals to deal with deficiencies. Dairy feed additives are compounds fed to dairy cows for reasons other than supplying nutrients.

Q: How are feed additives classified?

A: There are various classes of feed additives. Medicated feed additives include antibiotics, antimicrobials, anti-coccidials, antiparasitics, sulfonamidics, hormones, anti-bloat compounds and beta-agonists. Nonmedicated feed additives include probiotics, prebiotics, enzymes, phytogenics, enzymes and many other compounds.

Q: What are the benefits of feed additives in poultry?

A: The diet of animals and humans contain a wide variety of additives. However, in poultry diets, these additives are primarily included to improve the efficiency of the bird's growth and/or laying capacity, prevent disease and improve feed utilisation.

Q: What are the classification of feed additives?

A: They include feed manufacturing additives, performance enhancing additives, feed additives that improve animal health and nutritional feed additives. This classification refers to a group of additives which influences the technological aspects of the feed.
